I've got one supplied to me by work. Personally I'd say no, it's not with it.

Depends what you need it for. To be honest unless she's a professional working in CGI or something like that, there's simply no need for something so powerful. Also if you're used to windows the OS can be confusing.

That said the hardware is solid. I've had an iMac for ten years now and it's still sound.

My advice: buy her a cheap windows based laptop and with what you've saved you can give her another present of some lube and a butt plug.

Probably not. You do pay a cunt premium for MacBooks and they are nice machines, well made etc. OSX is dreadful though. Get the same spec windows box for 50% less but less twat appeal in Starbucks. Depends what you're using it for I guess. Do you need a Mac? Does anyone really NEED a mac? Some people say they do but I'd question that.

BTW I'm no Apple hater, I'm writing this on my Macbook pro.

As I thought the price goes with the brand. I'll buy her a Kindle and the Dyson and take my chance.

What does she want that particular model for?

MacBooks are expensive, but I think as an investment they're not as dear as they look.

I'm still using my 13" Macbook Pro that I got more than 5 years ago. Still runs like a dream. I stuck some extra RAM in for about 40 quid about 18 months ago to pick the pace up again. Does everything I need (office stuff mainly, with a bit graphics stuff) without any lag. I imagine things have improved a bit, but my old windows laptops never lasted half as long.

I had this choice or a Windows machine, in the end I picked up an MSI Ghost Pro 4k (from a WHO recommendation) which is specced miles better and about 600 quid cheaper.

Dursley I'm told its needed for massive amounts of music, photos, internet, email, fucking facebook and chatting no doubt and of course its top of the range which seems to be a requirement on everything that comes through the door.

They posted plentiful before suddenly it all dried up.

Also, you are neighbours with Buster, although he clearly doesn't like you very much.

It's worth it to the Apple profit line and shareholders' dividend payments projections.

My advice? Give her 2 grand folding then take her on a shopping trip so she can see for herself the price hike Apple apply. Then it becomes her choice on whether it's value for money - and her guilt trip for spending it.

Love a Mac. Never had any issues with any of the one's I had and outlasted the old Windows shite I had by YEARS.

Could be just lucky though.

I have one of these for Logic Pro. Its got a lot of grunt and with all the plug ins that are power hungry its needed. Its the first mac book that can really handle that level of power.
If she's not needing the power its complete over the top and a Dyson is a better idea.
